Elected: 2018

Amber moved to the Territory from Queensland in 2003, and with her ever-supportive husband, Tim purchased a property in Farrar in 2010.

She is familiar with Council meeting processes, financial reporting and requirements under the Local Government Act, due to her background in local government administration, having worked for the City of Darwin for the past nine years.

Prior to working in local government, Amber worked in leasing, administration, and finance - skills which will come in handy when reading reports and interpreting financial statements and budgets.

Community consultation, beautification of Palmerston’s older suburbs and partnering with the Government to reduce crime and its impacts, and improve safety are areas that Amber is passionate about.

Amber looks forward to working with the Mayor and the other Aldermen in rebuilding confidence and trust through informed decision-making, to ensure Palmerston remains financially sustainable and works towards building a stronger, safer and better community.
