Director City Growth and Operations
Full time permanent/term contract
As Director City Growth and Operations, you will lead by example, empower and inspire an engaged workforce that delivers $30m of community infrastructure through a range of areas including Asset Management, Contracts and Civil Works, Parks and Recreation, Traffic Management, Waste Management, Land Use Planning and Environment. These services are critical in supporting the organisation to deliver successful outcomes to benefit our growing community.
This role will see your people and project management skills shine as you juggle several challenging high priority projects and daily operations. With excellent relationship management skills, you will have an integrated approach to continuous improvement across all areas of the Directorate, coaching, mentoring and developing staff to provide a service of excellence. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing departmental strategic and operational plans that will deliver the required outcomes of Council through the Community Plan.
To be successful in securing this role, you will have a proven record of leading high performing teams in the delivery of services to the community. You will have a strong technical grounding which will give you credibility in managing our technical services team. Your people and project management skills coupled with contract management and capital delivery will set you apart. An understanding of asset management will also be valuable as we look to produce new and maintain existing aging assets. You will be highly organised with the ability to manage all levels of stakeholders across the business and externally. As a broad, conceptual thinker, your ability to improve processes and innovate to deliver outstanding technical solutions and service to our customers will see you succeed in this key leadership position.
