2021 Local Government Election Candidate Information Session
In the lead up to the Northern Territory Local Government elections, a Candidate Information Session was held at the City of Palmerston Recreation Hall on the 15 July. The sessions were conducted by City of Palmerston, along with the delegates from Northern Territory Electoral Commission and Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet.
It provided an opportunity for potential candidates to learn more about the role and purpose of local government; the role, responsibilities and expectations of a councillor, the electoral process and the potential challenges as an elected member. Candidate information kits containing the required documents were also handed out to the attendees. We thank all the members of the public who attended the session.
