Recreation in Palmerston
Palmerston is an active community with around 40 sports and recreation clubs. These range from football and baseball to choirs and seniors activites. A directory of sports and recreation groups in Palmerston is available from the Library and from our Publications section.
There are cycle and walking paths throughout the city, more than 100 local parks, many with BBQs and play equipment, and two natural reserves, the Palmerston Escarpment and Mitchell Creek. Information on community recreation facilities can be found in the Facilities & Parks menu.
