Place names in the Northern Territory are determined by the NT Government, on recommendation from the Place Names Committee.
Council is consulted by the Place Names Committee before a recommendation is made to the Minister for Planning and Lands. You can also make a submission to the Place Names Committee if you would like to make a recommendation.
