School Holiday Program - Around the World!

Need some fun for the kids these school holidays? Palmerston Library is running a jam packed program with lots of activities from all around the world. Activities include, lots of craft, dance, magic, wild animals and a finale family fun day. So make sure you book your kids in to secure their space and avoid any disappointment.

Cost: $5 per child, maximum $10 per family 

Dates: 26th June - 20th July, 10am - 11 am in the Library Community Room.

For children aged 5 - 12 years old. Places are limited and registrations are essential.

Youth School Holiday Program

FREE cool activities for young people are happening in the library these school holidays! Arts and crafts, dance, gaming and more!

27th June - 20th July, 3-4:30pm in the Library Community Room.

Ages 12+ years, no registrations required. First in, first served!

Family Fun Day!

Celebrate the end of the school holidays with us at our Family Fun Day.

There will be face painting, Hyper the Clown, Gladiator Ring, Photo Booth, craft activities, Blow up Obstacle Course.

Or have some fun with 'Back to the Roots Music' and get a flick with a baby croc or snake from Crocodylus Park!

20th July 2017, 10am-1pm in Goyder Square, Palmerston.

All ages welcome, no bookings required

Drop-in Youth Zone 

Come and chill with friends after school at our new Drop-in Youth Zone in the Library Training Room (at the back of the library). 

FREE art activities and movies every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30pm, except during school holidays.

For ages 12+, no bookings required.


Drop-in Computer Sessions 2017

The City of Palmerston Library will be running regular drop-in computer sessions throughout 2017.

Runs every Thursday from 10am-12pm except during school holidays. Computers & iPads available, or bring your own device and get one-on-one assistance with all of your computer/IT issues, from a library staff member.

All welcome, no bookings required.

Tactile Arts 'Art by the Lake' Workshops 

Tactile Arts in partnership with the City of Palmerston Library are pleased to bring the Palmerston community a series of wonderful art workshops, which range from textiles to printing, felting, fibre arts and jewellery. It's the perfect way to work with some of our most celebrated artists and create your very own artwork.

Workshops are held on Saturdays at the new location of The Heights Durack Community Centre, 33 Packard Ave Durack.

Spaces are limited and registrations are essential. Cost: $15.00 per person, per workshop. Ages 13+

Code Club 

Code Club is running at the Palmerston Library! Code Club is about fun, creativity and learning through exploring, and is a nationwide network of free, volunteer-led, after school coding clubs for children aged 9-12 years. All volunteers have current Ochre Cards.

Code Club runs in the City of Palmerston Library Community Room every Saturday morning 10am-1pm.

Gadgets & Games Club

Learning + Games = FUN! Is your child aged 5-12 years and do they enjoy hands-on, problem based learning activities? Gadgets and Games is  based around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning activities, and games for fun!

Gadgets and Games runs fortnightly on the alternate Wednesday to Lego Club. 3:30-4:30pm, no bookings required.
