Eggsperimental School Holiday Program

From Mexican Jumping Beans to Handmade Honkers be sure to attend the Palmerston Library's School Holiday Program. There are so many different experiments and fun activities to get involved in.

WHEN: 17, 18, 19 April
TIME: 10-11am each day

The program is designed for children 5-12 years. All children require adult supervision during activities. Some activities may require adult support to complete and please ensure children were clothing they can get messy in.

Cost: $5 per child or $10 per family this covers the whole holiday program.

Brick by Brick: Build Your Own Capital

The travelling Brick by Brick: Build your own Capital exhibition is coming to Palmerston.

The fun, creative and free exhibition will be on display in the City of Palmerston Library until 11 May 2018.

It is a great opportunity for youngsters over four years old to get hands-on with over 30,000 pieces of LEGO™ and recreate some of the iconic landmarks of the National Capital – or even invent the next generation of them!

The interactive and educational nature of the exhibition has been giving children all around the country an understanding of Canberra’s history and importance. It also invites them, their families, teachers and carers to imagine what they would like to see the nation’s capital become.

Acoustic Jam Sessions

Bring your guitar or any acoustic instrument and song suggestions!

Drop-in Youth Zone

Come and chill with friends after school at out Drop in Zone in the Youth Area of the Library.

Table Top Gaming: Every Thursday 3 to 4:30pm

Play our PS4 elimination games with a chance to win prizes, and or enjoy our wide range of board games. Alternatively you can bring your own board games or cards to share.

For ages 12+, no booking required.

Drop-in Computer Sessions

Runs every Thursday from 10am-12pm except during school holidays. Computers & iPads available, or bring your own device and get one-on-one assistance with all of your computer/IT issues, from a library staff member. All welcome, no bookings required.

Code Club

Code Club is running at the Palmerston Library! Code Club is about fun, creativity and learning through exploring, and is a nationwide network of free, volunteer-led, after school coding clubs for children aged 9-12 years. All volunteers have current Ochre Cards.

Code Club runs in the City of Palmerston Library Community Room every Saturday morning 10am-1pm.

Gadgets & Games Club

Learning + Games = FUN! Is your child aged 5-12 years and do they enjoy hands-on, problem based learning activities? Gadgets & Games is based around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning activities, and games for fun!
