Journey to Indonesia as Palmerston’s Indonesian Festival returns this May.

In its second year, the event will see Goyder Square once again come alive celebrating Palmerston’s multiculturalism through Indonesia’s colourful delicacies, music and culture.

The event features an exciting line up of live entertainment from international and local acts.

A highlighting of the event line up is the much anticipated performance from Jakarta pop group, the Victoria Girls Band Indonesia. Various cultural performances, traditional Indonesian music and dance performances by overseas and local acts include:

  • Young Diwa Dancers
  • Bali Community Dancer
  • Ella Dance
  • Flobamora Dancer
  • Kannya Dance
  • Papua Dance
  • Larrakeyah Indigenous dance

The experience does not stop there - a range of delicious Indonesian cuisine will be on offer.

This year the event takes the name Warisan Budaya, which translates to “cultural heritage”, supporting the events intention to celebrate Indonesian’s vibrant culture through performances, cuisine and customs.
