Brekkie in the Park

Families will enjoy plenty of FREE outdoor activities and time together as our Brekkie in the Park series returns. The series allows families to connect with their local parks and helps the community live healthy and active lifestyles.

Each Brekkie runs from 8-10am, with a FREE healthy breakfast provided at each one. Bring along a rug to sit on and remember to pack a hat and sunscreen. 

Sunday 7 May - Marlow Lagoon
Elrundie Ave
FREE activities: craft with Sand Cards and a petting zoo. Come have a chat to the City of Palmerston Rangers who will be attending for any pet related questions you may have. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead and under effective control at all times.
Brekkie provided by the Palmerston Lions.

Sunday 4 June - Hobart Park
Hobart Park, Johnston
FREE activities: bubble soccer and a rock climbing wall. The park also has basketball courts and a zip line! Palmerston Sharks will be serving up a FREE healthy breakfast. Please note, this event was previously advertised to be held at Northline Oval. It is now being held at Hobart Park, Johnston.

Sunday 2 July - Tivendale Park
DeMestre Crt, Moulden
FREE activities: enjoy basketball activities with PaRBA and celebrate NAIDOC Week creating Indigenous Sand Art with Sand Cards. Brekkie provided by Kiwanis.

Sunday 6 August - William Kirkby-Jones Memorial Park
Follington St, Zuccoli
FREE activities: archery with Archery Attack and colouring for little kids. The park has a great playground, scooters, skateboards, bikes all welcome! Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead and under effective control at all times. Brekkie provided by Palmerston Lions. Please note, this event was previously advertised to be held at the Community Garden in Gray. It is now being held at William Kirkby-Jones Memorial Park in Zuccoli.

Sunday 3 September - Northline Oval
Charles Darwin University, Durack
Treat Dad on Father’s Day or bring along someone special and join us for our FINAL Brekkie in the Park for the year!
FREE activities: Father’s Day craft with Sand Cards, practice your footy skills with the Palmerston Magpies who will also be holding a junior registration day and of course enjoy a FREE brekkie!

Please note, toilet facilities are not available at some parks.
