Youth Inspiring Palmerston (YIP) is about celebrating young people aged 12-25 from the Palmerston region. Council is committed to making Palmerston a better place for young people and the whole community. We aim to do this by making our young people visible through good news stories and ensuring they have a voice in council decisions.

There are two ways you can get involved:

YOUTH WORKING GROUPS - Throughout the year City of Palmerston will promote opportunities for young people to form working groups to develop events and programs in Palmerston. Follow @YoPalmy for updates to participate.

YOUTH MEDIA TEAM - Our Youth Media Team was formed in 2018. They come together to create content for young people. The content they create is shared across our @YoPalmy social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram and our E-Update. They also attend events as our photographers and videographers. Anyone aged 14 - 25 is welcome to apply. Register your interest HERE
