THE HEIGHTS, DURACK COMMUNITY CENTRE
Palmerston's first and only purpose built art and culture space is located at located at 33 Packard Avenue, overlooking the lake in The Heights, Durack. This facility provides Palmerston families and residents with the opportunity to engage with and enjoy art and to provide an amenity to support artists and creative enterprises.
The facility has high ceilings, plenty of cross ventilation and natural lighting. The art rooms open to a balcony, there’s a small kitchenette, storage space and the rooms themselves are specifically designed for art and craft activities.

City of Palmerston are offering the opportunity for musicians, entertainers, or performers to showcase their talents at Palmerston city’s Goyder Square with the recent introduction of a busking permit. Busking permits are free, types of busking performances may include:
- performing with an instrument or multiple instruments
- performing a song, poem, dance routine, mime, clowning, juggling, puppetry, comedy, magic or living statue act
- actively working in an artistic medium such as painting, portraiture, or chalk art
