About the Project
As part of Palmerston's City Centre Master Plan, Goyder Square - located in front of the Palmerston Library will be connected with the Water Tower Park to create a vibrant new social hub where residents are able to meet, relax and enjoy Palmerston's tropical lifestyle.
The redevelopment of Goyder Square will feature landscaping designed to ensure the new-look square will grow into a shady, green haven for residents. It will also provide new infrastructure for the popular Palmerston Markets, as well as a new community venue to hold events.
Goyder Square Stage 1 - Completed
Stage 1 of the Goyder Square redevelopment was completed in April 2014. Stage 1 was part of the sequenced construction activity to remove the remnants of Goyder Hill, garden beds and the roundabout to facilitate the widening of The Boulevard.
